Let G connected linear semisimple Lie group. Let π be a Discrete series repressentation for G. Let H be a connected semisimple subgroup od G so that they have the same ral rank. In this note we prove that a Discrete Series representation for H, whose lowest K1 - type ocurs in the lowest K- type of π, is contained in the restriction of π to H. We compute the restriction to SO(p,q)0 of a holomorphic Discrete series for SU(p,q), and prove that the restriction of a Discrete Series representation for Spin(2n,1) to Spin(2n-1,1) has finite multiplicity.
